Katherine Ryan and Chris Hughes have added their voices to the ongoing buzz surrounding Danny Jones and Maura Higgins after their unexpected kiss at a BRIT Awards afterparty.

Comedian Katherine Ryan, 41, wasted no time in addressing the situation. Currently in the hospital receiving treatment for lupus, she took to TikTok to share her thoughts.

Despite missing the event, Katherine was well aware of the drama and delivered a sarcastic take on the situation from her hospital bed. 

In her video, she referenced the clip of Danny and Maura, saying, “Oh my god, he wouldn’t do that, he couldn’t do that. I know that really looks like what I’m seeing with my own eyes in the video, but he just wouldn’t do that.”

She then switched to a more blunt expression and continued, “They do that! They leave the house for three minutes to get milk and forget they have a whole family! They do that!” Katherine captioned her post, “Just trying to mind my business but can’t help but catch up on the news.”

Meanwhile, former Love Island star Chris Hughes found himself caught up in the controversy when rumors surfaced that he, and not Danny, was the one kissing Maura in the viral clip. As speculation mounted, Chris took to Instagram Stories to clear the air. Posting a photo of himself watching TV, he wrote, “I wasn’t at the BRITs… and I wasn’t kissing anyone x.”
