After a period of quiet, Gordon Ramsay finally got in touch with Gino D’Acampo, and what they talked about shocked everyone!

Gordon Ramsay has finally spoken out regarding the misconduct allegations surrounding his former Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip co-star, Gino D’Acampo.

The TV chef confirmed he had reached out to Gino, who is currently facing multiple accusations of inappropriate

and intimidating behavior over a 12-year period—claims that he has strongly denied.

Gordon Ramsay Addresses the Allegations

Speaking on Thursday, Gordon, 58, stated, “I have reached out to Gino, checked in to make sure he and the family were doing okay.

Fred too.” His comments come in light of ITV’s decision to sever ties with Gino and remove reruns of his television shows from their lineup.

Until now, Gordon had remained noticeably silent on the matter, despite having shared a close working relationship with Gino for years. Reports have since surfaced suggesting that Gordon may have played a role in raising concerns about Gino’s behavior as early as two years ago, potentially contributing to the show’s cancellation and a deterioration in their friendship.

The End of Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip

The popular ITV travel and cooking show, which featured Gordon, Gino, and Fred Sirieix, had been entertaining viewers since 2018. However, in 2023, Gino announced his departure, citing “complicated contracts” as the reason for stepping away.

At the time, Gino reassured fans that his exit had nothing to do with his co-stars. In an Instagram post, he stated:

“I decided not to film any more Gordon, Gino & Fred Road Trips. The reason is very simple—nothing to do with Gordon or Fred, the friendship is very strong. But contracts start to become very complicated and very stressful. I personally value the friendship with Gordon and Fred so much that I would rather the friendship than arguments over contracts.”

However, despite Gino’s diplomatic explanation, Gordon later expressed his frustrations with his co-stars’ attitudes. Speaking on Spencer Matthews’ Big Fish podcast, the Hell’s Kitchen star called them “a pain in the ar**” and accused them of being lazy.

“They are great, they are wonderful, fantastic, incredible pain in the ars. They’re so f*ing lazy, they make me look good,” he joked.

Gordon went on to detail how their on-set habits often disrupted filming. “An hour in, Gino wants an espresso or he wants his eyebrows plucked. Ninety minutes in, Fred’s missing his croissant and his eyeliner,” he quipped.

Although his comments were made in jest, they hinted at tensions that may have been brewing behind the scenes before Gino’s departure.

Allegations Against Gino D’Acampo

The accusations against Gino have continued to mount in recent weeks, painting a troubling picture of alleged misconduct. One particularly disturbing claim involves an incident during the filming of Saturday Cooks! in which Gino reportedly drew an explicit sketch of a female TV producer.

According to reports, the woman had agreed to let Gino draw a caricature of her, expecting something lighthearted. However, she was allegedly left “shocked and humiliated” when he instead presented a drawing of a naked woman with her legs spread open.

The producer later confided in a friend about the incident, reportedly saying, “I thought it was going to be a harmless caricature. But when he showed me the finished drawing, I felt shocked and humiliated.”

Additionally, it has been claimed that Gino made inappropriate remarks about the woman’s leather boots during the same encounter.

Industry Backlash and ITV’s Response

The allegations have led ITV to launch an internal investigation, with several individuals reportedly coming forward to share their experiences of Gino’s behavior over the past 12 years.

Former television presenter Melanie Sykes has also spoken out about the culture of misconduct within the industry. Having worked with Gino on Let’s Do Lunch for three years, Melanie has since distanced herself from the television world, describing it as an industry plagued by sexism and power imbalances.

Reflecting on her experiences, Melanie remarked, “I’ve been watching what’s happening with all these misogynists on telly, and I’m supporting anybody who’s experienced anything beyond the pale. There is no protection. Some of it’s being done behind closed doors, but it’s happening on set.”

She went on to call for sweeping changes in the industry, urging networks to “clean the house and start again.”

Gino D’Acampo’s Response

In response to the growing number of allegations, Gino has strongly denied any wrongdoing, stating that the claims are “simply not in my nature.” He has expressed that he finds the accusations “deeply upsetting” and maintains that he has always conducted himself professionally.

Despite his denials, the fallout from the controversy has been significant. ITV’s decision to cut ties with him has led to the cancellation of his projects, and it remains uncertain whether he will return to mainstream television anytime soon.

What’s Next for Gordon, Gino & Fred?

With Gordon, Gino & Fred’s Road Trip now firmly in the past, both Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix have moved on to other projects. While Gordon continues to expand his global restaurant empire and TV career, Fred has been busy with his own ventures, including appearances on reality and food-based shows.

It remains unclear whether ITV will attempt to revive the travel series with a new co-host in Gino’s place. However, given the controversy surrounding his departure, it appears unlikely that the trio will reunite on-screen anytime soon.

For now, Gordon Ramsay has made it clear that, despite everything, he has reached out to Gino and offered support in the midst of the ongoing scandal. Whether their friendship can ever be fully repaired remains to be seen.
