Brenda Edwards from Loose Women stuns everyone by revealing she has a way to see her late son every night: “All it takes is that ritual.”

Brenda Edwards has spoken candidly about the difficult period she faced following the tragic passing of her son, Jamal Edwards.

During a recent episode of Loose Women, the television personality and singer shared her emotional journey of grief,

explaining how her surroundings felt different after his death and why she ultimately decided to move to a new home.

Brenda Opens Up About Life After Loss

Brenda appeared on the panel alongside Christine Lampard, Coleen Nolan, and Jane Moore,

where the discussion focused on the emotional connections people have with their homes.

Each panellist reflected on their personal experiences with moving, sharing how certain properties held significant memories for them.

Brenda, who has moved homes numerous times throughout her life, spoke about how her perspective on her living space changed dramatically after losing Jamal. She revealed that she had relocated 13 times, with nine of those moves occurring in adulthood. Some of those changes were prompted by major life events, including the loss of her parents and her divorce.

However, it was Jamal’s passing in February 2022 that made her reconsider her living situation once again. She explained that while their home had once been filled with warmth and light, everything changed after his sudden death.

A Home That No Longer Felt Like Home

Brenda shared her deep emotional struggles, explaining why she and her daughter, Tanisha, made the difficult decision to move. “I made the decision to move from the other house, the one we moved to after Jamal passed. It was a bright house, we all lived there together. But when he passed, all of a sudden, the walls just seemed really dark. And I can’t explain that—it was just really gloomy.”

Her words resonated with viewers who understand the way grief can alter even the most familiar spaces. What was once a place of joy had become a painful reminder of Jamal’s absence.

Brenda also touched on how her daughter was struggling in the same environment. “Tanisha as well. I was battling on with it and getting through it, but I didn’t realise Tanisha was seeing Jamal come round every corner. And that, I think, created a darkness.”

For both mother and daughter, the home had become a place filled with sorrow, making it clear that moving was the best way forward in their journey of healing.

Jamal Edwards’ Legacy and Brenda’s Ongoing Grief

Jamal Edwards was a visionary entrepreneur and the founder of SB.TV, a platform that revolutionized the UK music scene by helping launch the careers of many successful artists. His contributions to the industry earned him an MBE, and he was widely respected for his dedication to uplifting young talent.

Tragically, Jamal passed away at the age of 31 due to cardiac arrhythmia. His sudden death left a deep void not just in his family’s life but in the wider creative community.

When Brenda first announced the devastating news, she released a heartfelt statement expressing the immense pain of losing her son. “It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son, Jamal Edwards, passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness. Myself, his sister Tanisha, and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world.”

She went on to thank those who had reached out with messages of love and support. Despite the immense grief, she made it clear that Jamal’s impact would never be forgotten. “As we come to terms with his passing, we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PHD.”

Finding a New Chapter Amid the Pain

Brenda’s decision to move was not just about finding a new home—it was about finding a way to cope with the overwhelming grief. The change in environment was a necessary step for both her and Tanisha, allowing them to navigate their sorrow in a way that felt more manageable.

While moving doesn’t erase the pain of losing a loved one, it can sometimes offer a fresh perspective and a space free from constant painful reminders. By sharing her story, Brenda has once again shown immense strength and openness, encouraging others who may be facing similar struggles to take the steps they need to heal.

Her honesty in discussing the difficult emotions that come with grief has resonated deeply with audiences, many of whom have praised her for speaking so openly about such a personal loss. Through her words, she continues to honor Jamal’s memory while also acknowledging the ongoing journey of healing after such a profound loss.

As Brenda and Tanisha move forward in their new home, they carry Jamal’s legacy with them, proving that while grief may change the way we see the world, love and memories will always remain.
