GMB hosts are facing criticism for making an inappropriate comment towards young viewers.

Good Morning Britain viewers were left utterly confused after an unexpected and surreal segment aired during the breakfast show.

The program featured a special “live” announcement from Peppatown, the fictional setting of the beloved children’s TV series Peppa Pig.

The surprise? Mummy Pig revealed that she is pregnant and expecting another baby.

A Cartoon Pregnancy Announcement on Live TV

Entertainment reporter Richard Arnold introduced the peculiar segment, presenting what appeared to be a “live video” from Peppatown.

In the clip, an animated Mummy Pig excitedly shared the news that her family would be growing.

Holding up an ultrasound scan, she announced, “Well, I’m excited to share that our family is getting even bigger because… we’re having another baby!”

The animated character continued, revealing that she was due in the summer and expressing both excitement and a little apprehension about the challenges of raising three young children. “A little overwhelmed at the thought of having three children under five running around, but mostly just completely delighted,” she added.

Mummy Pig also mentioned that Peppa and George had already figured out something was going on. “Peppa knew something was up. She’s such a curious thing—we had to tell her before she popped!” she joked.

Viewers React: “Has the World Gone Bonkers?”

While the segment was meant to be lighthearted, many Good Morning Britain viewers were left completely bewildered, questioning why a children’s cartoon character was making a pregnancy announcement on a serious morning news program.

Social media quickly exploded with reactions, with one viewer posting on X (formerly Twitter), “I’m sorry but why am I watching Peppa Pig’s mum announce she is expecting a baby pig on a national news programme at 7:30 AM?”

Another added, “The world has officially gone bonkers. The fact that we are interviewing a cartoon character on a morning news show… But I have to admit, it made me smile a bit.”

One viewer was particularly impressed by the unusual format, writing, “How they managed to get a cartoon on breakfast TV and present it ‘as live’ is just remarkable.”

Another joked, “This has to make your end-of-year news compilation, surely!”

Questions About Peppa Pig’s Timeline

Beyond the initial shock of the segment, some fans of Peppa Pig raised questions about the show’s continuity. One user humorously pointed out, “So Mummy Pig is supposedly pregnant… I know it’s a cartoon, but isn’t Peppa supposed to be at least 19 by now? Has she been the same age this whole time?”

Another joked, “Waking up to find out that Mummy Pig is pregnant was NOT what I had on my 2025 bingo card!”

A Clever Promotional Move?

While many found the segment bizarre, others speculated that it was a clever marketing move by the makers of Peppa Pig. The long-running animated series remains a global favorite, and the introduction of a new family member could bring fresh storylines and excitement for young audiences.

It was also revealed that the final episode of Peppa Pig’s current series, set to air on Mother’s Day (March 30), will feature Mummy Pig officially announcing her pregnancy. This timing suggests that the announcement on Good Morning Britain was part of a larger promotional campaign to build anticipation for the upcoming storyline.

An Unexpected but Entertaining Moment

While the surreal nature of the segment left many scratching their heads, it undeniably captured public attention. Whether viewers found it hilarious, confusing, or simply absurd, one thing is certain—Good Morning Britain delivered one of the most unexpected TV moments of the year.
