Josie Gibson has sparked concern among fans after appearing on This Morning using crutches.

The beloved ITV presenter co-hosted the Friday, February 28 episode alongside Alison Hammond but initially,
Alison was seen hosting alone before Josie made her entrance, revealing the reason behind her unexpected absence at the start of the show.
The popular television personality shared that she had suffered an injury while on holiday in Dubai with her six-year-old son, Reggie, during the half-term break.

The unfortunate incident left her relying on crutches and wearing a medical boot to aid her recovery.

Josie explained that the injury occurred in the most unexpected way—while she was brushing her teeth in the bathroom.

She recalled how the vanity unit suddenly collapsed onto her foot, causing immense pain. The impact was severe enough to shatter the unit into pieces, and she immediately sought medical attention in Dubai. Initially, doctors informed her that she had suffered a leg fracture. However, after returning to the UK, she received a revised diagnosis, learning that she had actually sustained soft tissue damage rather than a break. Despite the pain and inconvenience, Josie is now on the mend and using a walker boot to support her healing process.
Recalling the incident on This Morning, she humorously expressed her disbelief over the unfortunate mishap. “You couldn’t make it up! I’ve always dreamed of taking my little one to Dubai, and on just the second day of our holiday, this happened,” she said. “I spent the rest of the trip in bed with my leg up, completely ruining my holiday. I was even in a wheelchair! Imagine being on holiday with a six-year-old and not being able to build sandcastles with him.”
Following her appearance on the show, concerned fans quickly took to social media to express their support for Josie. One viewer wrote, “Poor Josie, that sounds awful! Wishing her a speedy recovery.” Another commented, “Hope she’s okay. What a nightmare to have that happen on holiday!” Some viewers even suggested she should take legal action, with one saying, “Hope she sues the hotel for negligence!”

Despite the unfortunate turn of events, Josie has plenty to look forward to in her professional career. Alongside her hosting duties on This Morning, she is set to front an exciting new Channel 5 travel series, Around the World in First Class. The show, which airs on February 28, takes Josie on a luxurious journey through the Middle East, including Dubai, where she explores some of the world’s most extravagant accommodations and experiences.
A teaser for the show describes the adventure as a breathtaking exploration of luxury travel. “Josie Gibson is off on a jaw-dropping journey through the Middle East, from Dubai’s overwater villas to $20,000-a-night desert resorts. Think camel rides, private pools, and unforgettable decadence. This is first-class travel at its finest.”
With her resilience and positive spirit, Josie is sure to bounce back from her injury in no time. Fans will no doubt be looking forward to seeing her continue her television journey, whether it’s on This Morning or showcasing the glitz and glamour of the world’s most luxurious destinations.
