Ruth Langsford of Loose Women hinted that she might have contracted a contagious skin disease—and the cause? A daily habit everyone does every morning.

Ruth Langsford has urged viewers to pay closer attention to their skin after sharing a personal health update on Loose Women.

The popular ITV daytime presenter took a moment during a recent episode to highlight the importance of monitoring changes in skin condition,

which could indicate underlying health issues.

During the discussion, Ruth was joined by fellow panellists Janet Street-Porter, Denise Welch, and Coleen Nolan as they explored the significance of skin health.

She emphasized that many people overlook warning signs on their skin, not realizing that these changes could point to more serious medical concerns.

“We will be talking about skin today. Are you taking care of it?

Any change in your skin condition could be an indication that there is something else going on in your body,” Ruth explained. She pointed out that dermatologists are increasingly warning people about the dangers of neglecting skin checks, as many individuals fail to recognize potential warning signs.

Taking the opportunity to discuss her own experience, Ruth revealed that she recently underwent a routine check for her moles, reassuring viewers that there was nothing to worry about. “When I was younger, you kind of ignored things and never thought about it. But definitely, as I’ve gotten older – I’ve been twice this week – I go twice a year to get my moles checked.”

She recalled growing up in a sunny environment due to her father’s military career, which exposed her to significant sun exposure. “When we were young, we didn’t know the dangers of sunbathing, and my dad was in the army, so we were abroad a lot, running around in the sun. I remember sunscreen being around but not smothering it on.”

Ruth then pointed to her skin and shared, “I’ve just had a little thing done here this week, but it’s nothing to worry about because it’s been checked.”

Her co-star Coleen Nolan chimed in with a lighthearted comment, noting, “Didn’t you go green earlier?” to which Ruth humorously responded, “I did go green, but it’s gone now. I don’t know what that was, maybe because it was early morning.”

Before wrapping up the discussion, Ruth took a serious tone as she urged viewers to be proactive about their health. “Please go and have anything checked that you are worried about. We are just looking at here—blue skin can be a sign of poor circulation, yellowish skin can indicate liver problems, and thickness or hardening of the skin may be linked to diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney disorders.”

Her heartfelt plea resonated with many viewers, reinforcing the importance of early detection and regular health check-ups. Ruth’s willingness to share her personal experience served as a reminder that even seemingly minor skin changes should not be ignored. As Loose Women continues to tackle important health topics, her message encourages people to take their well-being seriously and seek medical advice for any unusual skin changes.

By sharing her own journey and advocating for regular skin checks, Ruth Langsford has once again demonstrated her commitment to raising awareness about crucial health issues. Her advice serves as an important reminder for everyone to stay vigilant about their skin and overall health, ensuring that potential concerns are addressed before they escalate into more serious conditions.
